Page 1 of 5 Summary I am a biologist by training (ETH Zürich) but did my PhD at the engineering department of the ETH Zurich and my post-doc at Scripps (San Diego, CA, USA) in a highly multi-disciplinary environment. Moreover, I have a long experience with programming and IT in general. In my current position, I work as an image processing and analysis specialist and as a scientific software developer and consultant in a microscopy and imaging facility, whereby my main task is to help scientists with their imaging projects. My strength lies in my multidisciplinary background (biology with selected skills from engineering and computer science) that gives me a large palette of tools and know-how to address a wide variety of problems. Moreover, I am involved in and lead open source (scientific) software projects. I am mostly interested in the development, exchange and standardization of algorithms and tools for the analysis and handling of scientific data (in particular in, but not limited to, light and electron microscopy of biological data).
